It has never crossed my mind to hear it done in reggae, and Joshua Kesler makes it shine. Absolutely outstanding! – Dave P UGNJAMZ Radio Station
Gospel Reggae artist Joshua Kesler has released his first single of the year, titled Oasis, a remake of the classic anthem set to a roots reggae beat. The song reminds us that God can step into our lives at the right time, in the right place to be reborn with new life; we are bought with a price.
It is expected that Oasis by Joshua Kesler will follow the tremendous success of Rock I Stand, dubbed the 21st Century victory song, and AStepFWD's Reggae Song Of The Year 2021.
Inspiration Behind The Song
The idea to re-do Oasis was birthed three years ago, whilst Hammond & Harmony Productions waited for the right male vocalist to come along. Originally sung by Helen Baylor and released in 1991, this soon became a Dance Track anthem in the UK, both in the Clubs and the Gospel scene. The idea was to slow it down in tempo and give it a reflective testimonial delivery. ("Oasis" by Helen Baylor is a timeless classic).
