Discover the Inspiring Journey of Yemi Alafifuni: From Debut Album 'Father' to Latest Single "Found"

Debut album ‘Father’ by Yemi Alafifuni, released on February 1, 2019, has been a vessel for God’s message, with the leading track “Padre” being added to Spotify’s editorial playlist and its music video garnering over a million views on VEVO & Facebook. Since then, Yemi’s music has continued to soar, with his single release in February 2020 charting on iTunes in the Christian/Gospel genre.

His recent releases, “Behold the Lamb” and “Hope Alive” secured top positions on the Astepfwd Official UK Charts in March 2021 and September 2021 respectively. This Grammy nominee, who is a member of the Recording Academy (Grammys) class of 2021, has been compared to artists such as Bebe Winans, Donnie McClurkin, Alvin Slaughter, and Luther Vandross.

Yemi Alafifuni's recent single “Found” is a testament to the reassurance that God has a plan, even when the future seems uncertain. “What is lost can certainly be found by the grace of God’s love,” says the singer-songwriter. His new single, which is available on all streaming platforms, is an embodiment of his rich vocal tones and textures, which are blended with his remarkable songwriting talent.

“Found” was written at two different times, both answering a simple question - what are you searching for that God can’t provide? The chorus of the song was initially written as a response to self-gratification thoughts, which Yemi reflected on after many years.

Yemi survived numerous difficult situations during his childhood, and he often wonders how God brought him through. "God found me and kept me from all harm - both spiritually and physically," he shared. Yemi's experiences, which are rooted in 1 John 4:10 and Jeremiah 29:13, are described throughout the entire song, creating a moving and inspiring listening experience.
