TINKEZ DROPS "MY DESIRE (PSALMS 37:4) SINGLE BEFORE TAKING NEW De.V/ZION NAME

November 1, 2019

It's the dawn of a new age for UK Christian artist De.V/ZION, formerly Tinkez - known for his afrobeat songs that get feet dancing and body moving.

His music ministry started in 2016 but has covered lots of streaming grounds over the years on various platforms including production work extending to Ghana and the U.K.

With many collaborations on the plate: Latasha Martinis, JL Poleon, Kofi J and Nockz, among many others, he continues to reach out for more.

Before the change of name, De.V/ZION released two primary E.P.s, the Discovery E.P. and the P.E.A.C.E. E.P which enjoyed features on media outlets like 7gospeltracks, Gospel Hydration, AStepFWD and was nominated for the Ghana Music Awards U.K 2017.

When asked about the change of name, De.V/ZION said, "it started with a project I was building called 'ViZION'. Broken down, the 'V' represents Variety, the lowercase 'i' represents my contribution, and 'ZION' represents a place where God would dwell.

In other words, I am bringing a variety of people together in the creative spaces founded on the Love of God. God spoke to me not only to build but become; The ViZION. A lot of times, we talk of what we look to achieve in life but seldom about who we want to become.

The name incorporates "division" into either De.V/ZION or De.ViZION. It represents THE VISION TO COMBAT DIVISION in communities with love shown in the art form."

As we patiently wait to see what God has to install for De.V/ZION, let us enjoy his final audio release under Tinkez titled My Desire (Psalms 37:4) download here.

This song takes a prayer form, presenting desires before God. As included in the title, the song draws inspiration from Psalm 47:4 - Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. It's available now on all major digital stores.
