BRISTOL-BASED YANDIE RELEASES "YOU`RE EVERYTHING" SINGLE
I wrote it as a prayer song at a rough time in University. I learnt God is the author of my story, the One who can bring a thing to pass and sustain me through trying times.
Fans of Ayanda Sibanda, who performs under the stage name Yandie, can finally rejoice after she followed up her behind-the-scene snippet on Facebook with the official release of “YOU’RE EVERYTHING”.
It’s all about music for the Bristol-based gospel artist and songwriter who carries truck-loads of passion for God’s word, teaching and capturing worshipful experiences when people gather.
Yandie has once again demonstrated that her talent has enough room to grow. To further understand what inspired “YOU’RE EVERYTHING”, the gifted singer revealed how Christians sometimes put God in a box (which is mission impossible). “I struggled to relate to God as Saviour but not a friend”, she said.
“While in pursuit of more in-depth understanding, He (God) led me to a bible text, I Am That I Am. Reading those words, I felt God was saying: I’m a blank cheque and whatever you need or whenever you need it, I am precisely that. If you need healing, I Am your healer. If you need a defence, I Am your defender. I wrote this song as I was coming to terms with the idea that God can’t be limited because He is all things to all people”.
Aron Bicksey engineered “YOU’RE EVERYTHING” in Oliver’s Studio and Chris Chikwanah was the executive producer. It’s now available on all digital platforms.
