MUYIWA RETURNS WITH SOUL STIRRING "A LONG WAY" FEATURING JOE METTLE
Credited as the first and only UK gospel artist to sell out the Ocean Music Venue, Hackney, Muyiwa has a gospel music career wrapped in greatness; the first UK gospel artist to sell out Indigo2 at the 02 Arena and Evtim Apollo London with 5,000 capacity.
The multiple award-winning singer and recording artist returned to streaming services with "A Long Way", yet another soul-lifting and inspiring single featuring Joe Mettle.
Muyiwa wrote this song with his long-term writing partner, Eddie Martin and Sam Oliver of HOS Production. "A Long Way" is a sequel to Alade Wura (Emmanuel) which gained massive radio airplay and rave reviews in 2018.
According to him, "A Long Way captures the reality of our lives journey. The reality is whether black, white, brown, man, woman, rich or poor. At some point, we'll have storms that we face, and the beauty of the relationship we have with God is the benefit of someone to lean on in those storms. So, if its Cancer, Unemployment, Bereavement, Sickness, Depression whatever it is, God can bring us through just as he has brought others through before".
Muyiwa would have plenty of gospel music laurels to rest on if he were so inclined (and the evidence suggests that he is not). His forthcoming album will accommodate gospel artists from Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Sierra Leone, DR Congo and more.
