To celebrate the best of African gospel music, last Saturday, many artists and media influencers forged a common purpose and gathered under the same roof for the official launch of the prestigious AGMMA (African Gospel Media & Music Awards) 2019.
The once in a year launch was packed with prayer, jokes, ministration, presentation, recognition, lovely people and is here with a Jesus bang.
Uncle Charles (full named Charles Koranteng) welcomed everyone at the opening while Wole Awolola and Diana Hamilton, two matching hosts of the night did a fantastic job keeping the programme comical, lean and entertaining.
Muyiwa Olarewaju, Lady T, Anu Omideyi, Isabella Melodies, O`Neil Dennis and other personalities looked happy to be at the AGMMA 2019 launch as they posed for pictures. (See slide below)
UK-based Efel Efel, Lydia, Abby Godwin and Biola Olatunde had a blast singing their gospel hit tracks, and there was a surprise cameo appearance on stage by Ghanaian music minister, MOG Music.
A short video of Saint Phillip performing his VICTORY song was posted immediately on Facebook to celebrate the AGMMA 2019 launch.
The main gospel event has been scheduled for 1st of June 2019 and hopes to bring together acclaimed gospel artists from around the world in a night of exuberant praise appreciation and celebration.
Please note, AGMMA 2019 nominations for the different categories are now opened and closes on the 2nd of April 2019. You can book your tickets in advance by clicking here.
