"BLOOD DEM UP" IS THE LATEST SONG FROM UK REGGAE ARTIST, WATCHMAN
Since it’s pre-release on the 9th December [on iTunes and Google-Play] “BLOOD DEM UP” has steadily gained momentum across the globe, being played by DJs in the United Kingdom, America, Jamaica, Canada, Ghana, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, South Africa, Kanya, Israel, Japan, Thailand, Belize, Germany, Italy and Spain.
UK’s Reggae Gospel Music Awards (GMA) Winner and Music Of Black Origin (MOBO) Award Nominee artist, ‘Watchman’ has created a buzz with the new single “BLOOD DEM UP” which dropped today.
This music is not your typical traditional “Christmas song”. However, in some sense can be seen as an alternative to the type of songs played at this time of year. The song depicts the crucifixion and power of the Blood of Jesus with lines such as: Lift Jesus up up/Demon chaser Bind-dem Blood dem up up/[And] “Satan leaving now without a show/Part di crowd unuh let him out.
The track is a spin-off from the ‘Tuff’ Riddim that features one of the most popular songs to come out of Jamaica since the start of the summer by MoBay artist Rygin King. Blood dem up was recorded in Jamaica but polished-off from a state-of-the-art mixing and mastering studio in Hollywood California.
