ASHA ELIA RELEASES THIRD SINGLE, "WALK TOGETHER"

October 4, 2018

I`ve always respected Asha Elia`s song and cannot imagine writing anything ill-considered. And it`s understandable because her 2017 debut single "Evidence" sported a very different Christian RnB vibe than usual. "Serve," her follow-up track was an instant radio hit receiving rave reviews.

Today, she dropped a brand new single, "Walk Together," a song that speaks about not idolising a man but walking with God. In the press release, Asha Elia said, "I wrote the song after a personal experience where God tested my heart. I had to realise that a man will always only be a man. I had to sacrifice my relationship at one point as I felt like God was guiding me to take time out and seek more confirmation from Him.

"It was hard, but I knew that anything outside of God's Will could never work. It's about having a Kingdom perspective and a heart which gives God the love and reverence, only He deserves."

Recorded in London and produced by IVN, she hopes the lyrics will strengthen God's people and positively challenge those who are going through something similar.

LYRICS

Cuz he's just a man,
Even if he's my man
he's just a man

We wanna go where Your light is
We wanna go where The sun shines
We wanna go where Your heart is
Where we know we'll be alright
Where we know we'll be alright

See I love you boy
But He loves me more
Lord, I would sacrifice anything
For Your Love (×2)

We wanna go where Your light is
We wanna go where The sun shines
We wanna go where Your heart is
Where we know that we'll be alright
Where we know that we'll be alright

I ain't even roll like that no more
You'll never see me put my all into another person's soul

Cuz he's just a man
Even if he's my man
He's just a man
Even if he's my man

Imma walk towards my Lord & Saviour
You can join me; we can walk together

We wanna go where Your light is
We wanna go where The sun shines
We wanna go where Your heart is
Where we know that we'll be alright
Where we know that we'll be alright
