"Never underestimate your ability to make a difference in life irrespective of the tough times and challenges," Martin Fei said, sharing a thought on his latest single. "We serve a God who is a game changer. He will turn things around."
Today, "Turn Me Around" dropped in all digital stores, and the UK-based gospel artist had some things to say about it.
Please introduce yourself. Who is Martin Fei?
My name is Martin Fei, and I was brought up in a Christian musical home. A home of parental love with a foundation on the teachings of Christ. While growing up, I wavered a bit from what I learnt at home as a child of God. I lived a life following the way of the world than what God wanted from me.
I guess, there is always a path God makes us take at times to understand how much good is different from evil. God continuously blesses his children that they may find the light and salvation through Christ.
I am a sincere lover of all music genres, and I have always had a natural and an incredible appreciation of hearing and understanding musical contents. That motivated me to join the children’s service choir, later I moved to the junior choir in my church and further went on to join my secondary school choir and other singing groups I found around me. But today, I am the music director for Trinity Baptist in Slough.
How would you describe your music?
My music is a music of hope, assurance and encouragement. It speaks of a brighter future irrespective of the challenges that come our way in life`s journey.
What inspired your latest song "Turn me around?"
The inspiration was from my personal experiences and what I have seen in life. Both the good and the bad. Like an electrical gadget which requires both the positive and negative terminals to provide power, I believe firmly that both the good and bad times in life work together to make us stronger.
You released your new song and its video on the same day. Who produced/directed "Turn Me Around?"
Joe Wilson produced the song while I directed the video. I need to credit Daniel Twum for the video production.
What are your expectations for "Turn Me Around?"
I am trusting God that will make "Turn Me Around" a blessing to anyone who comes into contact with it. I want this song to impact listeners positively by providing a source of hope in tough times.
I want everyone to believe that God is capable of providing for our needs: exceedingly, abundantly, far above whatever we could ask for in His name.
