Dougitoons Productions and By Faith Music Group have announced a groundbreaking event set to take place this October in London, UK; a Celebration Concert to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of ‘Handel’s Messiah: A Soulful Celebration.’
Originally released in 1992 via Warner Warner Alliance, ‘Handel’s Messiah: A Soulful Celebration’ is a gospel album by various artists.
Executive-produced by Norman Miller Gail Hamilton and Mervyn Warren, the album was a re-interpretation of the 1741 oratorio ‘Messiah’ by George Frideric Handel - and has been widely praised for its use of multiple genres of Black Music, including spirituals, blues, ragtime, big band, jazz fusion, R&B and Hip-Hop.
The historic release featured a range of A-list talent, consisting of Andrae Crouch, Commissioned, Chaka Khan, Quincy Jones, Richard Smallwood, Sounds of Blackness, Thomas Whitfield, as well as Mervyn Warren himself and Take 6.
