Tinkez is known for songs like God First featuring Latasha Martinis, 100 featuring John Kofi and Hallelujah. Incorporating Afrobeat and hip-hop styles uniquely, the UK-based Ghanaian artist communicates the Christian message through the art of music.
He grew up in Kumasi, Ghana and begun his music career after moving to the UK. This decision was made after he became a born-again Christian. In September 2017, Tinkez was nominated for an award at the Ghana Music Awards UK ceremony and has remained on the boil with the release of over seven songs on his SoundCloud page since the event.
Tinkez`s latest release, 'John 4:14 (Finding My Feet)' which is available on all major digital/streaming platforms, has enjoyed remarkable feedback and a fair degree of airplay. The song was inspired by the passage of scripture in the Gospel of John, Chapter 4 and Verse14, where Jesus speaks of having living water which quenches thirst forever.
A commentary by Ellicot states: "The water that I shall give him —these words are emphatic as opposed to this water. It is not an external supply, which must be sought to meet the recurring physical want, but it is the inner never-failing source, the fountain of living water, which satisfies every want as it occurs. He who has it, therefore, can never thirst. Coming from the source of all life, it issues in eternal life."
The subtitle, 'Finding my feet' embodies this passage in the sense that once this fountain of life is indwelling in an individual, that's a foundation laid of which they can forever be confident.
Sharing information about his upcoming releases, Tinkez said, ''I am really excited about my next two releases! The first one called 'New Agenda', shares my testimony and should be available towards the end of July or early August, God Willing. The second is called 'Freedom Dance' which as you may expect is all about expressing FREEDOM through DANCE.''
