Hymns have inspired worship, praise and prayer for ages, but one speaks peace to my soul like no other.

"How Sweet The Name Of Jesus Sounds, In a believer's ear! It soothes his sorrows, heals his wounds And drives away his fear.

It makes the wounded spirit whole And calms the troubled breast; 'Tis manna to the hungry soul And to the weary, rest..."

The above hymn was written by John Newton (1735-1807), and it has been famously performed by choirs and gospel artists, at different times.

Inevitably, Helen Lawson joined this list when she released a version of "How Sweet The Name Of Jesus Sounds."
