Irish Inishowen Gospel Choir returns to festivals in 2022!
Inishowen Gospel Choir has entertained audiences for over ten years with its musical diversity and energetic performances. Two friends started the Inishowen Gospel Choir in 2005 to bring gospel music to their communities. It is now Ireland's most well-known community choir.
Many of the choir's performances have taken place at world-renowned music festivals like Glastonbury and Electric Picnic, as well as local concerts throughout northwest Ireland.
I'm delighted to inform you that the Inishowen Gospel Choir has returned to the live festival circuit after almost three years of absence due to Covid restrictions.
At the Stendhal music festival in Limavady, the Inishowen Gospel Choir, a Carndonagh-based singer, performed an hour-long set with a four-piece band in July 2022 to mark their hiatus after the Covid period - a performance was also given on one of the festival's main stages at Ballymully Cottage Farm on Saturday afternoon.
After performing at Electric Picnic in September, this was the choir's first performance at a major outdoor festival. As well as performing at the Every Voice Festival in Derry in June, the singers also appeared at the Earagail Arts Festival in Donegal in July.
