CeCe Winans' "Goodness of God" Soars to No. 1 on Billboard's Gospel Airplay Chart

Detroit-born singer CeCe Winans has added another feather to her cap with her fourth No. 1 on Billboard's Gospel Airplay chart. Her song "Goodness of God" has topped the tally as of February 18, having increased 5% in plays during the week of February 9. This latest hit follows “Believe for It” which held the top spot for two frames starting January 2022 and “Never Lost,” which led for a week in May 2021. "Goodness of God" was co-written by Ed Cash, Ben Fielding, Jason Ingram, Brian Johnson, and Jenn Johnson.

She attributes the success to God and her commitment to creating music that inspires people to hold on and believe in the impossible. "Goodness of God" is one of those songs that connect with listeners on a personal level due to their experiences with the Divine. Regardless of the current circumstances surrounding us, Winans encourages us to recognize the inherent goodness of God.

CeCe Winans has ten chart appearances to her name, and four of those tracks have peaked at No. 1 on Billboard's Gospel Airplay chart. Her first No. 1 hit, "Pray," lasted for two frames, beginning in January 2006. In addition to her top-ranking tracks, Winans has also earned a No. 5 hit on the chart with "Never Have to Be Alone" in 2017.
